Halloween 2019

My heart was not really into it this year. The decoration boxes stayed in the attic but I still carved a pumpkin and prepared some food.

I got those cute items at Hema.

I made pasta with butternut and spinach and vegan cheese.

Carving.

Can you spot the witch?

I had to annoy the cats with the pumpkin hat...though Bunny is not annoyed and quite enjoys it.

Bob is thoroughly annoyed :D

New labels

As I had used up all my old (over 10 year old) woven labels, I decided to ordee r new ones...even if I don't really sell much, it's more fun to have pouches complete with cute labels ;)

The new label has already debuted in the newly made pouches (not  listed yet).
So from now on, if you get a pouch with the older label...that will be a collectible ;)
This was the first label
I ordered them from Woven Label UK. I have a discount code (valid till June30, 20) of 10% if you're interested. Just ask me.

Some pouches in shop

As I keep making pouches that I have no use for by now, I caved in and listed some in my shop...
Lots more to come as I now have even more zippers ;)
Find them here: DinaFragola on Storenvy

It's fun to make any crazy ideas I want as there's no pressure to sell...

Pouches galore!

The other day I was half-heartedly tidying the workroom. I have lots of fabrics from when I started my shop 10 years ago and was still planning to sell clothes back then.
And I started wondering what I could make with all that, so I checked the web as one would ;)
I stumbled across a pouch tutorial on Youtube and decided to give it a go.
It turned out to be fun.
So now I am in a pouch-making-frenzy, replacing the apple-eating obsession.
I love pouches, I have gazillions, but you can never have too many pouches, nor stationery, nor pens nor school supplies in general (funny I am so obsessed with school supplies as I never enjoyed school much...).
As I don't really have any intentions of selling them (I kind of gave up the idea of selling now, I suck at marketing and you have to be more of a marketer than a maker these days...) so I just put everything in pouches :'D Soon I'll be making pouches for pouches.
I have ordered 100 zippers (because it cost the price of 2 store bought zippers here).
Not sure yet what I am going to do with all those pouches...

 The first one I  made.

The labels are also from 10 years ago...I never did anything with them...

I gave it to mom, she organized the mess in her purse...

A gothic haunted mansion one...

I made it big enough to store my little notebooks and some pens...

I tried a square one and stuck my cat patch on it.
I store my medecations in it...

The last one for now, with Ikea fabric.

I am keeping all the little stuff that were at the bottom of the sewing box.

New look

I have FINALLY come up with a new style for my business cards and sites. Took long enough.
Not that I have much to promote these days.
But I am really happy with the result.
I still have to rethink my packaging...but all in good time.
I still haven't decided what to do next. I am really disheartened right now and have not much motivation for anything.

I ordered the cards from Moo. I am really pleased with the quality.

And I have also got a new look for myself. I really wanted a new pair of glasses as my previous ones kept falling apart (to the point I had a litle screwdriver in my bag). They were barely one year old and not cheap at all.
Then I heard of an online brand called Polette. They have recently opened a showroom in Brussels. and they're really cheap. I decided to give it a try.
The process is rather easy. You go to the showroom to try the frames (or you don't but I wanted to find a pair that really suits me). If you don't have a doctor prescription, they can check you eyesight there too.
Then you either order online or there.
The glasses are made in China and shipped to you. Mine took 2 weeks to arrive with the cheapest shipping method.
I am lightly near-sighted and very astygmatic and don't need special lenses.
The new pair  costs 52 euros...including shipping...when my previous pair was almost 500 euros...with supposedly thinned lenses...which I just found out is COMPLETE BULLSH*T for my prescription. The Polette lenses are not thicker NOR heavier than the supposed"fancy" lenses.
I've only had them for 2 weeks but so far I am happy. I'll probably order some sunglasses from them next.
And this is NOT a sponsored post ;)
