When life gets in the way...
Let's just say this past summer sucked big time, so in a way I am glad that fall is here...
My brand new computer died in early August...had to wait 6 weeks to get it back, it worked 3 days then broke down again.
I finally have it back but it took time to re-install everything on it...which is also one of my least favorite activities.
No computer = no work getting done...I ended up closing my shops because it was just too hard to offer a regular customer service first from a phone then a tablet.
And then having several people tell me, "oh well, it's not that bad, it's not like you need it for your job or anything" (read, you have no job anyway). Thanks. Because obviously I sit at the computer all day just to watch cat videos.
August weather was also gross. It rained a LOT, it was cold, so I couldn't even enjoy my forced free time and the garden.
And then family matters happened. Not nice things. I don't want to go into that in details...but I ended up having my aunt stay over for almost 3 weeks. If you read my Twitter feed, you know how that goes... Having to cope with the emotional states of a lot of people who don't give a poop about how YOU feel.... Not fun.
The stress, the bad weather, the family issues made my ear problem even worse. The worst it has been since I moved here actually. Not that I want to go into details about that either, not today anyway. I feel lonelier and more isolated than ever.
I ended up making stuff for my shops...lots and lots of stuff...which I'm busy listing, but it'll take a while.
So let's hope for better times, even if right now I see no possible improvement.

Disneyland Paris, February 2014 part1
As I have gone there many times, I may have a tendency to take photos of unusual things ;)
This first part is all about Discovery Arcade.
There are 2 covered arcades in Disneyland Paris, located behind the shops and restaurants on Main Street. They are both really nice and a nice thought too as weather in Paris is rainy.
You probably now know why this appeals so much to me... steampunk before I even knew steampunk was ;) The years 2000's could have looked so nice. I am glad we got rid of the corsets though.

Friday favorites
Huh...yes, I used to make those posts on wednesday ;)
Gorgeous earrings by AnnaSiivonen on Etsy. Her work is stunning!
Cute tights by PetitChipompon also on Etsy. They are handprinted.
Some more dragonfly dishwares, this time by Azulado. The green and aqua mix is just perfect.
Squeeeeeeee R2D2 cat smartphone case. Love it, love it, love it ^_^ It is by Ecotule.
And my favorite video of the week...what if the Avengers had been made in the 70's
It's just so spot on. I think I would have loved it too back then (just wait till you see Thor...)

Our bungalow is on the right, the blue /grey building.
View from our terrace It was pretty amazing to wake up to this...
There are still many Art Nouveau houses in Le Crotoy
Le Crotoy is a quiet little town, I guess it's busier during high season. There still are many Art Nouveau houses there, but most look pretty abandoned. I hope they were not bought by big companies hoping to destroy them once they're beyond repair...

A weekend in London
I am like the worst blogger ever...or maybe I just have too much on my mind to write anything even remotely interesting...
In January I took a little trip to London. London is one of my favorite places on this planet. I used to go there all the time (in another lifetime, it seems now)...and quite honestly I can't remember the last time I went there...I am not even sure it was in this century O.o
But, well, London was waiting for me...with bright sunshine (!) and warm weather (!) in January.
That trip made me so happy. I hardly took any photos because I was so immersed in the whole experience.
Some of my old "haunts" had gone, some were still there ... hello, vegetarian restaurant in Covent Garden...and oddly enough, the only Crocs store in London is almost right in front of it.
I had tea at Jamie Oliver's Diner, because I cannot NOT go to a dinosaur themed restaurant. Cheesecake was perfect and the place was not a disappointment. They even have some embroidery dino scenes on the walls (but my photos are too blurry).
I cannot think of any other towns where I enjoy walking aimlessly even half as much. Hopping on and off a bus , taking the tube...the tube, I even missed the tube...seeing all those familiar station names passing by...the peculiar smell of the London tube... Many people must have thought I was high, sitting there with a large dreamy smile on my face...

The kittens are 5
I find it hard to believe that Bob and Frank Kitten already turned 5 today. It also means I moved into this house 5 years ago (still can't say that it is growing on me )
Frank being mysterious- aka napping
Frank and his mom Eugénie
Cutie Eugénie
Bob Mega Kitten graced us with his presence today. When the weather is nice Mr Bob plays it feral...except at food times that is.
Pepita aka Flocon d'Amour aka La Griotte aka la Libellulle. Yeah, no relation to the kittens BD...but she doesn't want to be left out.
Little Zoé...still loved and missed a lot.
