My favorite Christmas films

Ho ho ho  who  would have thought I have favorite Christmas films? ;)

* A Charlie Brown Christmas
  Because it's sweet, cute and...well perfect really.

UFS
 *A Muppets Family Christmas
  If only for this memorable scene where Kermit realizes he is under the holly ;)

Henson/Disney
 * Meet me in Saint Louis
    The classic musical by Vincente Minnelli starring Judy Garland. One year in the life of a family at      the beginning of the 20th century. You may not be familiar with the film but you must know one         its songs, "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
   Ultimate nostalgia attack...
MGM
 * Scrooged
   Starring Bill Murray before he got "trendy". This is a modern take on Dickens A Christmas Carol.
  Corny, full of clichés ...but it works...and I always ROTF when one the Christmas ghosts smashes Scrooge's   head with a toaster.
Paramount

*  A Nightmare before Christmas
   A versatile movie if there ever was one. I suppose it'd work for Easter too as the Easter Bunny has a   cameo ^_^
Disney

*It's a Wonderful Life
  Classic feel good tale by Frank Capra.

RKO
 * Gremlins
  My absolute favorite...full of references to the It's a Wonderful Life. I make a wonderful singing Gizmo impression, but you'll have to take my word for it!

Warner Bros

So have you got any movies you like to watch around Christmas time?

Friday favorites

A day late for this post. I have had a busy week helping my stepmom sort out her stuff and moving boxes to her (cool) new flat.

This wonderful Alice in Wonderland Moleskine notebook series. One of each, please.

Bizarre item of the week award  goes to: cat forehead scented fabric spray, by Felissimo. I'd really be curious to smell it. But, OK, I do think cat foreheads smell good in general ;)

I love this peacock sweater by H&M. It is even more shiny in person.
 Cool pin set by Laser Kitten. The 2 Coreys in the Lost Boys (one of my cult films...)

And a new item in the Captain Cosmos series. Captain Cosmos bracelet.

My Alice in wonderland collection - in the kitchen (part 1)

 I am the worst kind of collector...I actuallly use my collectibles. Especially the kitchen ware.

My favorite breakfast set made by  Zak  Designs

A cool Ziploc container from Japan.

  2 gorgeous plates by Skater, Japan (they have the best stuff...)

Another mug from the Disney Store  (2010).

My current favorite mug, also by Skater, Japan.

 I've just noticed that my favorite items tend to be the ones I cannot break...I wonder if that's some kind of self-protection so I don't get upset if I break something ;)

Compost bin

 FINALLY! I had been wanting to make my own compost for a long time. In the last few months I have been reading a lot about composting. My mom was always opposed to the idea, saying it stinks, it's gross...just stereotypes of someone who's never looked into the topic really.
So after lots of thinking I opted for a recycled plastic bin with a bottom opening. I also needed one with a lid so the cats don't go check what's inside.
It's been up for less than a week so I can't really tell how well it goes so far.
Right now I am very enthusiastic, I put in it every little single scrap of food/paper/plant that can go into it ...every 5 minutes ;)

This one reminded me a little of a Dalek : EXTERMINATE TRASH!

Diego inspecting
Pepita checking what's Diego inspecting
But she had already inspected when I installed it ;)

My Alice in Wonderland collection - more Cheshire Cat plush toys

 I have a thing for plush toys, I just can't deny...I have enough material for lots of many future posts... Here's the mini collection.

This cutie one from from England. It has suction cups so you can stick it in your car widow.
It was part of a large Cheshire Cat collection sold at a stationery store in England in 2007.

 A strange sitting one here from the UK Disney Store.

A beanie (beanbag) plush. This one comes from Disneyland. It was sold at the US parks around 1998-1999.

Another cutie from that large UK series from 2007. This one is a keyring.

 A super bizarro beanbag made by Applause in the US.

A mini beanie in a teacup. Sold at Disneyland in 1999.

 A Christmas ornament made of terry. Disney Store 2002.

 Mc Donald's Happy Meal toy from the Walt Disney World Millenium Collectibles. It is also a beanie.

 Another Mc Donald's Happy Meal toy made in 2003. I like its fun spring body :)

Cute bum ;)
