The real Alice and Lewis Carroll - new items!

As you probably know, Alice in Wonderland  was a real little girl. Lewis Carroll who, on top of being a teacher, mathematician and writer, was also a photographer. We therefore have photos of her and himself.

Lewis Carroll was one of the first photographers, when it was still an expensive and time consuming hobby. He was very popular among famous people and royalties of his time.

By the time he took photos of Alice, exposition time had dropped down to about a minute (from over an hour a few years earlier)

But it was still quite an achievement to have little kids stay still for a whole minute.

Instagram bootcamp

As I am on top on things, not at all overwhelmed by all the stuff I have to do and the cats and people I have to look after (huh...I might be a little bit sarcastic here) I decided to take an Instagram Bootcamp.
It's only a week, it started today and it was a spur of the moment thing...

If you wonder why there's an old radiator in the garden, it's from the bathroom work last summer. The damned thing is too heavy to lift by myself or it'd be recycled already...

I want a macro lens

The other day I wanted to go out to take bug photos ...as I regularly find really interesting ones here. It didn't work too well, they all came out blurry and unusable...and I can't just blame my unsteady hands...I need a macro lens! Too bad my birthday is not any time soon...

Anyway, here's my series of bug free photos...at least those who don't like bugs won't freak out...
